Is the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15AMN8 worth it?

At $449.99 it is a fair price for a Ryzen 5 laptop with a 1080p screen, but not a bargain. Buy it if you need a light everyday machine and can live with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

The 256 GB SSD can usually be swapped for a larger M.2 drive. RAM on most Slim 3 15AMN8 configurations is soldered, so plan on 8 GB for the life of the laptop.

How is the battery life?

Expect roughly 6 to 8 hours of mixed browsing and document work. Video playback lasts longer, and heavy loads drain it faster.

Is it good for gaming?

Only for light and older titles at low settings. The integrated AMD graphics cannot handle modern games at playable frame rates.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, a 65 W power adapter and the usual paperwork. No mouse or sleeve is included.

Its lowest recorded price is $449.99, set on October 31, 2026, and it has not dropped below that since. Watch for back-to-school and Black Friday sales for the first real discount.
