Sleep like a minimalist: all-organic wool-wrapped futon

What reviewers say

Questions and answers

Is this futon good for side sleepers?

It is firm, so side sleepers often need a topper for shoulder and hip comfort. Back and stomach sleepers tend to find it supportive.

How often does it need airing or flipping?

Plan to air it in sunlight and rotate or flip it regularly, roughly monthly, to keep the cotton and wool fill even and dry.

What sizes does it come in?

It is offered in an extra-long length, and fill weight runs from 35 to 75 lbs depending on size. Confirm the width with the store before ordering.

Is it really organic?

The cotton is USDA certified organic, and the cover is organic cotton fabric. The wool fill is natural but not described as organic.

Can it be used on a bed frame?

Yes, it works on a slatted platform or tatami-style base. A solid, breathable base helps the natural fill stay dry.

Is $574.98 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $574.98 at The Futon Shop as of November 7, 2026, so there is no lower competing offer to compare against.
