Our take on the Adnoom Portable Washing Machine 20lbs Fully-Automatic

The Adnoom Portable Washing Machine is a top-load, fully-automatic unit rated for 20 lb loads, with a 2.8 cu ft stainless steel tub and a 1300 rpm spin. It uses an impeller instead of an agitator, offers 10 wash cycles and an auto dispenser, and runs on corded electric power. It is built for small spaces where a full-size washer won't fit. No current store price was provided, so check the price history before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Adnoom portable washer worth it?
It suits renters and small-space dwellers who can't install a full-size washer. If you have a laundry hookup, a standard top-loader gives more control for similar money.
Does it need to be hooked up to plumbing?
It connects to a faucet with the included hose and drains into a sink or tub. It is not hookup-free, so you need a nearby tap and drain.
How much can it wash at once?
The 20 lb rating and 2.8 cu ft tub handle a small family's daily load or a few days of clothes for one person. Bulky items like comforters will not fit.
How dry do clothes come out?
The 1300 rpm spin removes more water than low-speed portable spinners, but clothes still need air drying. Expect damp, not dry, results.
When is the best time to buy it?
Portable washers tend to drop in price during back-to-school and holiday sales. Check the price history to see whether the current price is near its low.
