Questions and answers

Is the AKG K371 worth it at $149?
At $149.00 at B&H Photo-Video-Audio as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a neutral closed-back that needs no amp. It makes most sense if you want wired studio sound rather than wireless convenience.
How does it compare with the K371-BT?
The wired K371 has no battery or Bluetooth and costs less. The BT version adds wireless but carries the same driver design, so pick it only if you need cable-free use.
Do I need a headphone amp?
No. At 32 ohms and 114 dB sensitivity it runs loud from a phone, laptop or interface headphone jack.
What comes in the box?
Expect the headphones, a detachable cable and a carry pouch. Check the listing for which cable lengths are included, since the 3 m straight cable is the long option.
Is it good for recording vocals?
Yes. The closed back limits bleed into the mic, and the neutral tuning keeps monitoring honest.
When is it cheapest?
It sits near $150 at several stores. Watch for bundle and open-box pricing, and compare the 6 new listings before buying.
