Our take on the Alwyn Home Arin 4" Queen Futon Mattress

The Alwyn Home Arin is a 4-inch queen-size Japanese-style floor futon with a polyester cover that folds for storage. It is meant for guest sleeping, camping and small rooms where a full bed does not fit. It is not a conventional innerspring mattress and offers only light padding. No current price was provided, so check the live price against its own recent history before buying.

Questions and answers

Is this comfortable enough to sleep on every night?
Most owners use it for guests or occasional sleeping. At 4 inches of polyester fill, it is thin for nightly use and side sleepers may feel the floor.
How does it compare with a traditional futon mattress?
It is thinner and lighter than a cotton or foam futon, which makes it easier to fold and store. It also offers less support and loft.
Can two adults sleep on the queen size?
Yes. Queen sizing fits two adults, though the 4-inch pad gives limited cushioning for two people.
Is the cover removable and washable?
Yes, the cover is described as washable. Check the care label before washing and air-dry or tumble on low to avoid shrinkage.
What is in the box?
The mattress arrives rolled or compressed with its cover. It needs time to expand to full thickness after unrolling.
When is the best time to buy it?
Watch for seasonal furniture sales and holiday promotions. Compare the current price with its recent price history before buying.
