Our take on the Aovox 14 inch Brushless String Trimmer 2-in-1 Weed Wacker

The Aovox 14 inch Brushless String Trimmer is a cordless 20V weed wacker that converts to a wheeled edger, with a brushless motor and a 14-inch (1.17 ft) cutting width. It weighs 10.8 lb, which is heavy for a 20V trimmer and will tire your arms on long sessions. Its 1.8 out of 5 rating from 13 ratings is a warning sign: buyers report weak power and short runtime. No current price was provided, so check the latest best price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Aovox 14 inch trimmer worth it?
Be cautious. Its 1.8 out of 5 from 13 ratings is low, with complaints about power and runtime. Compare it with established 20V trimmers before buying.
How long does the battery last?
Aovox does not publish a runtime figure, and owners report short runtimes. Expect well under an hour of continuous trimming, less in tall grass.
Is it good for thick weeds?
Probably not. At 20V with a 10.8 lb body, it suits light grass and edging. Heavy weeds and brush will stall it or drain the battery fast.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
That depends on the kit you buy. Check the listing for whether it is a bare tool or includes a 20V battery and charger before ordering.
How does it compare with a gas trimmer?
It is quieter and needs no fuel mixing, but it is far less powerful than a gas trimmer. For large lots or heavy growth, gas or a higher-voltage cordless model is the better fit.
When is the best time to buy it?
Trimmer prices drop in late summer and around Black Friday. Track its price history and buy when it falls below its recent range.
What do buyers say about the Aovox 14 inch Brushless String Trimmer 2-in-1 Weed Wacker?
