Is the Aovox 14-inch brushless string trimmer worth it?

With 1.8 out of 5 from 13 ratings, it is hard to recommend over established brands. Compare it against a 40V trimmer from a major brand before buying.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

Check the listing carefully. Many 20V trimmers are sold as bare tools, and the page does not confirm a battery or charger in the box.

How does it compare with a 40V trimmer?

It will be lighter on power. A 40V trimmer handles thick grass and weeds better, while this 20V unit suits light trimming.

Is 10.8 lb too heavy?

It is heavy for a 20V string trimmer. If you trim for more than 20-30 minutes at a time, a lighter model will be easier on your arms.

What is the cutting width?

1.17 ft, about 14 inches. That is wider than most 20V trimmers and speeds up trimming.

Our take on the Aovox 14 inch Brushless String Trimmer

The Aovox 14-inch brushless string trimmer is a 20V cordless trimmer with a 1.17 ft cutting swath and a brushless motor, which should give longer runtime and motor life than a brushed design. It weighs 10.8 lb, on the heavy side for a 20V string trimmer, so expect some arm fatigue on long sessions.
