Our take on the Arlo Blinds Graphite Room Darkening Cordless Lift Fabric Roman Shade, 35"W x 48"H

A 35 by 48 inch fabric Roman shade in graphite from Arlo Blinds, with a cordless lift that raises and lowers by hand and a room-darkening lining. The cordless mechanism is the main draw for homes with kids or pets, and the fabric folds into soft horizontal pleats when raised. At $47.96 at Overstock as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Pros
  • Cordless lift is safer around children and pets
  • Room-darkening lining cuts most outside light
  • Fabric Roman style looks softer than vinyl blinds
  • Sized 35 inches wide by 48 inches long for common windows
  • Low price for a lined Roman shade
Cons
  • Only one new price listed, so no way to judge the deal against history
  • Cordless shades can feel stiff to pull on larger sizes
  • Room darkening, not full blackout; some light leaks at the edges
  • Mounting hardware and exact inside-mount fit matter; measure carefully

Questions and answers

Is this shade truly blackout?
No. It is room darkening, which blocks most light but lets some through at the edges. For a bedroom, pair it with curtains if you need total darkness.
What size window does 35 by 48 fit?
It suits a window about 35 inches wide with 48 inches of drop. For an inside mount, measure the window opening in three places and use the narrowest width.
How does the cordless lift work?
You raise and lower the shade by hand on a hidden tension system, with no cords hanging down. It is a safer choice around kids and pets.
Is $47.96 a good price?
Only one new price is listed, $47.96 at Overstock as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare. Lined Roman shades at this size often cost more, so it reads as a low price.
What is included in the box?
The shade and mounting hardware for standard installation. Check the listing for the exact bracket type before you drill.
Can it be mounted outside the window frame?
Yes, outside mount works and can hide light gaps better. Add a few inches to the width and length if you mount it over the frame.
