Our take on the Ashley Allmaxx Sofa in Pewter Polyester/Wood

The Ashley Allmaxx is a stationary three-seat sofa in pewter polyester upholstery on a wood frame, sized for a standard living room with 56 inches between the arms. It stands out for removable cushions and a low-key transitional look that fits most decor. It is not a recliner and ships without throw pillows. The latest best price we track is $159 at Distritech as of November 3, well below what a three-seat Ashley sofa usually runs, so it sits near the low end of its recent range.

Questions and answers

Is the Allmaxx sofa worth it at $159?
At $159 at Distritech as of November 3, it is a low entry price for a three-seat Ashley sofa. Expect basic polyester and a firm seat, not premium materials.
Does it recline?
No. It is a stationary sofa with no reclining mechanism, so you give up recline for a lower price and simpler frame.
How big is it?
It seats three with 56 inches between the arms, a 20-inch seat depth and a 20-inch seat height. Measure your room and doorway before ordering.
Are the cushion covers removable?
Yes, the cushions are removable. Check the care label before washing, since polyester covers usually do best with cold water and air drying.
What comes in the box?
The sofa and its legs ship unassembled. No throw pillows are included, so budget for those separately.
When is it cheapest?
Sofa prices usually dip during major holiday sales and clearance events. Watch the price history and buy when it drops near the $159 level.
