Is the Asko DBI563IXXLS worth the price?

At $1,049.95 at Southeast Steel as of November 5, 2026, it sits in premium territory. You pay for the tall tub, three racks and heavy-duty wash system rather than basic features.

How is it different from Asko's standard-height models?

The XXL tub adds interior height, so the lower rack takes plates up to 15-3/4 inches. Standard-height Asko models fit fewer tall items.

Does it need a special installation?

It is a built-in 24-inch unit with top controls, so it needs a standard 24-inch cabinet opening and a finished custom panel or handle configuration depending on the model variant. Check the cutout dimensions before ordering.

How many place settings does it hold?

Asko rates it for 14 place settings, with three racks and a top cutlery tray. That is above average for a 24-inch built-in.

Appliance prices move with promotions, and four stores list it new. Watch for holiday sales and compare across those stores rather than assuming the first price is the lowest.
