Is the ASUS Chromebook Plus CX1505CTA worth it?

At $603.99 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, it is a reasonable buy for browser-based work on a large screen. If you need Windows apps or heavy multitasking, spend more on a faster chip.

Can it run Windows apps?

No. It runs Chrome OS, so you use web apps, Android apps from Google Play and Linux apps. Windows desktop software will not install.

How much RAM and storage does it have?

It has 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD. That RAM is fine for many tabs; the 128 GB fills quickly if you store photos and video locally.

Is the 15.6-inch screen good for everyday use?

Yes. The 1920x1080 panel gives sharp text and enough room for two windows side by side. It is not a high-brightness or color-accurate display for photo work.

Expect the laptop and its charger. ASUS does not bundle a mouse or sleeve with this model.

Chromebooks typically drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Only one new price is listed now, so watch for a second seller before assuming a discount.
