Questions and answers

Is the Acer Chromebook Plus 714 worth $1,530.63?
That price is high for a Chromebook. If you need 16 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 7 and Chrome OS, it is a capable machine, but most shoppers can get a premium Chromebook for much less.
What does Chromebook Plus mean?
Chromebook Plus is Google's certification for faster hardware, a 1080p webcam and a 1080p-or-better display. It also includes Google's AI features like Help me write and Magic Eraser.
Can it run Windows apps?
No. It runs Chrome OS, so you use web apps and Android apps from the Play Store. Windows desktop software will not install.
How much RAM and storage does it have?
It comes with 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD, which is more than most Chromebooks offer.
Does it have Wi-Fi 7?
Yes. It supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), but you need a Wi-Fi 7 router to see the benefit.
When is it cheapest?
With only one store listing it new, discounts are rare. Watch for Acer's own sales events and back-to-school promotions.
