Is the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 worth $2,679.57?

That depends on the GPU inside. At $2,679.57 at Asus as of November 7, 2026, it sits in premium gaming-laptop territory, so check whether the listing has the RTX 5070 rather than the 5060 before deciding.

Is the RTX 5070 version much better than the RTX 5060?

The 5070 has more graphics headroom for high-refresh gaming and heavier settings. The 5060 is fine for 1080p play, but the 5070 version is the one to pick if you want the 165Hz panel to earn its keep.

Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?

The A16 ships with 16 GB DDR5 and a 1 TB SSD. TUF laptops generally allow RAM and SSD upgrades, but confirm the specific configuration's slots before buying.

Is the screen good for gaming and outdoor use?

The matte IPS panel cuts glare and comes in 144Hz or 165Hz versions, which is good for fast games. Resolution is 1920x1080 or 1920x1200, so it is sharp enough but not high-density.

Does it have a numpad and fingerprint login?

Yes. The keyboard is backlit and includes a numpad, and there is a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello sign-in.

Only one new price is listed: $2,679.57 at Asus as of November 7, 2026. Gaming laptops usually drop during major sales events, so watch the price history before buying.
