Babolat RNGD Pickleball Paddle

Our take on the Babolat RNGD Pickleball Paddle

The Babolat RNGD is a hybrid-shape pickleball paddle with a fiberglass face, a polypropylene honeycomb core wrapped in EVA, and a 14 mm profile. It leans on spin and forgiveness: the RPM Grit surface is at the maximum grit USA Pickleball allows, and SMAC technology widens the sweet spot. At 7.8 oz with a 4-inch grip and 5.3-inch handle, it sits in the middle of the weight range for most recreational players. Its best new price is $30 at Ace Sports as of November 8, 2026, with four stores selling it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Babolat RNGD good for beginners?

Yes. The larger sweet spot and control-oriented 14 mm core make it forgiving for newer players. The 7.8 oz weight is manageable but not the lightest option.

Does the grit surface wear out?

RPM Grit is a textured face at the maximum USA Pickleball allows, and like all grit surfaces it can smooth with heavy play. Clean it regularly and store it in a cover to slow wear.

What is the grip size?

The grip circumference is 4 inches with a 5.3-inch handle, which suits most hands. Players who prefer an overgrip should account for the extra thickness.

Is it approved for tournament play?

The face grit is at the maximum level USA Pickleball permits, and the paddle is built to that spec. Check the current USA Pickleball approved list before entering a sanctioned event.

What comes in the box?

The paddle only. No cover, balls or grip tape are included.

Is $30 a good price?

At $30 at Ace Sports as of November 8, 2026, it is a low entry price for a branded paddle with a grit face. Compare against the other three stores before buying.

Where is the Babolat RNGD Pickleball Paddle cheapest?

At Ace Sports, for $30.00, as of our latest check.

Where can I buy the Babolat RNGD Pickleball Paddle?

10 stores we checked sell it, including The Pickleball Swap, Ace Sports, eBay, Just Tennis San Diego, Ace 'N Rally.
