Our take on the Bdeus Dual Layer 5 inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper, King

The Bdeus Dual Layer is a 5-inch king mattress topper that pairs a memory foam base with a plush microfiber fill layer for a medium feel. At 5 inches it is thicker than most toppers, so it adds real cushioning to a firm or aging mattress, but it also changes the height of the bed and needs a deep-pocket sheet. It weighs 19.29 lb and the cover is machine washable. It has only 7 ratings at 3.3 out of 5, so buyer feedback is thin and mixed.

Questions and answers

Is a 5-inch topper too thick?
Five inches is on the thick end. It gives strong cushioning but raises the mattress height, so check that your sheets still fit and that the bed is not too high for you.
Will it make my mattress softer or firmer?
Softer. The medium feel and plush microfiber layer are designed to add cushioning, so it suits people who find their mattress too firm, not those who want more support.
Does it sleep hot?
Memory foam tends to trap heat, and a thick topper leaves less airflow. Hot sleepers should weigh this against a thinner or gel-foam topper.
Can I wash it?
The microfiber cover is machine washable. The foam core itself should not go in a washer; spot clean it and air it out.
Will it fit a king mattress?
Yes, it is sold in king size. Measure your mattress before buying, since a thick topper can shift if the fit is loose.
Is it worth buying over a new mattress?
If your mattress is firm but structurally sound, a topper is far cheaper than a replacement. If the mattress is sagging or worn out, a topper will not fix it.
What do buyers say about the Bdeus Dual Layer 5 inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper, King?
Rated 3.3 out of 5 from 7 ratings.
