Questions and answers

Is the Bemis 1815CP worth it?
Yes if you want a soft seat at a low price. At $32.66 it costs little more than a basic plastic seat, and the STA-TITE mount saves installation hassle.
Will it fit my toilet?
It fits most elongated bowls, measuring 14.13 inches wide by 18.6 inches deep. Check your bowl is elongated, not round, before buying.
How does it compare with a hard plastic seat?
The vinyl top is softer and warmer, but it wears faster. Hard plastic lasts longer and cleans more easily.
What is included in the box?
The seat, the closed cover, and the STA-TITE fastening system with hinges and hardware. No tools are needed for the top-tightening bolts.
How do I clean a cushioned vinyl seat?
Wipe with mild soap and water and dry the seams. Avoid harsh solvents and soaking, which can break down the vinyl.
When is it cheapest?
The current $32.66 at Bemis Toilet Seats as of November 4, 2026 is near the bottom of its recent range. Watch for small dips during home-improvement sales.
