Is this seat worth $18.94?

Yes, if you want a basic soft-close elongated seat. At $18.94 at The Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it costs less than most soft-close seats, which often run $30 to $60.

Will it fit my toilet?

It fits standard elongated bowls, not round ones. Measure your bowl from the hinge holes to the front rim; about 18.5 inches means elongated.

Does the seat really come off for cleaning?

Yes. The seat releases from the hinges so you can clean the bowl rim and hinge area, then clicks back on.

Is the Sea Green color close to what I see online?

Colors vary by screen, and Sea Green is a muted green. Check a store photo or swatch if the exact shade matters.

How does it compare with a wooden seat?

Plastic is lighter, cheaper and easier to clean, but wood feels more solid and warmer. This seat wins on price and the soft-close lid.

Our take on the Bemis elongated plastic toilet seat

This is a Bemis elongated plastic toilet seat with a closed front and a soft-close hinge, in a Sea Green color. The seat lifts off for cleaning, and Bemis uses a hinge design that resists loosening over time. The best new price is $18.94 at The Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new. That is a low price for a soft-close seat, so it sits at the budget end of its range.
