Our take on the Bose 301 Series III Speakers (2-Pack)

The Bose 301 Series III is a two-way bookshelf speaker from the 1990s, known for its Direct/Reflecting design that bounces sound off the walls to widen the listening area. This bundle pairs two passive speakers with an HQsing PRO-5000 amplifier, microphones and a party light, aimed at karaoke and small-room music. The only new price found is $1,849 at HQsing Corp as of November 4, 2026, far above what used pairs typically sell for.

Best forKaraoke and family partiesSmall rooms under 200 square feetBuyers who want a speaker-and-amp bundle in one orderCasual music listeners who like a wide, room-filling sound
Pros
  • Direct/Reflecting driver layout spreads sound across the room
  • Easy to drive at 150 W per channel
  • Bundle includes amp, two microphones, cables and a party light
  • Simple setup for karaoke nights
Cons
  • Discontinued model; this is old stock or a reseller bundle
  • $1,849 is far above typical used prices for 301 Series III pairs
  • The 5,000 W amplifier rating is peak marketing, not clean RMS power
  • Party light and microphones add clutter if you only want speakers
  • No modern features like Bluetooth, HDMI or room correction

Questions and answers

Is $1,849 a fair price for this bundle?
No. Used Bose 301 Series III pairs usually sell for a few hundred dollars, and the HQsing amplifier is a budget component. The $1,849 price at HQsing Corp as of November 4, 2026 is well above the going rate.
Do the speakers need the included amplifier?
Yes. The 301 Series III is a passive speaker with no built-in amp, so it needs an amplifier or receiver. The bundle's HQsing PRO-5000 supplies that, but any stereo receiver rated around 50 to 150 W per channel will work.
Is the 5,000 W amplifier rating real?
Treat it as a peak or marketing figure. Real clean power per channel is far lower, and the speakers themselves are rated at 150 W per channel. Match the amp to that, not to the headline number.
How do the 301 Series III compare with the current 301 bookshelf speakers?
Later 301 versions use updated drivers and a cleaner cabinet, and they are still sold new. The Series III is older and may need surround or driver service, so buy it for the price, not for modern performance.
What comes in the box?
Two Bose 301 Series III speakers, the HQsing PRO-5000 amplifier with microphones, an HQsing LT323 party light, an optical audio cable, and two 5 m banana-plug speaker cables.
When is this bundle cheapest?
There is only one new listing, at $1,849 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no price history to time a purchase against. Used pairs and separate amps are the cheaper route.
Where is the Bose 301 Series III Speakers (2-Pack) cheapest?
At HQsing Corp, for $1,849.00, 43% off, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Bose 301 Series III Speakers (2-Pack)?
Buyers like: Amazing sound quality; Super easy to set up; Perfect for family parties.
Where can I buy the Bose 301 Series III Speakers (2-Pack)?
2 stores we checked sell it, including HQsing Corp, eBay.
