Is the BZVV knitting machine good for a beginner?

Yes. It is rated for beginners and works by hand crank, so the main skills are even tension and watching the row counter. Expect a short learning curve before stitches come out evenly.

What can I make with 48 needles?

Hats, scarves, cowls and tube-shaped pieces fit the 48-needle circumference well. Wider items like blankets have to be made in panels and sewn together.

Does it need batteries or power?

No. It is a manual crank machine, and the row counter is the only added feature. That makes it usable anywhere without an outlet.

How does it compare with a 22-needle loom?

A 48-needle machine makes larger tubes, so it handles adult hats and scarves that a 22-needle loom cannot. The trade-off is a bigger, heavier frame at 41 cm across.

Is $55.33 a good price?

It is the only new price tracked, at eBay as of November 4, 2026, so there is no recent low or high to judge it against. Compare it with other 48-needle machines before buying.

What comes in the box?

The listing does not detail included accessories. Check the seller's contents list for yarn, a needle or pattern book before ordering.
