Is the Mushroom House knitting machine worth it?

It suits a child who wants to crank out simple tubes like hats and scarves. At $59.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than basic toy knitters, so buy it for the 32-needle width and adjustable densities.

It is listed for kids. The 32 needles and threading take patience, so it fits older children better than preschoolers, with an adult nearby.

What can you make with 32 needles?

Flat tubes: hats, scarves, leg warmers and small bags. The four yarn densities let you use thinner or thicker yarn, but it does not do shaped or flat-panel knitting.

The machine, a bag, a needle and thread. Yarn is not included, so buy yarn before the first project.

About 31 x 26 x 31 cm (12.2 x 10.25 x 12.2 in). It sits on a table and is light enough for a child to move.
