Is the Elyte X worth it at $279.97?

Yes, if you want a forgiving, draw-biased driver. That is well under the Elyte line's typical launch price, and only one store lists it new at that figure as of November 5, 2026.

How does the Elyte X differ from the standard Elyte driver?

The X has a larger, more forgiving shape with a draw bias and higher launch. The standard Elyte is more neutral and workable for better players.

What shaft and grip come with it?

It ships with a 45.75-inch Project X Denali Charcoal graphite shaft at about 50 grams, a Tour Velvet 360 grip and a headcover.

Can I adjust the loft and lie?

Yes. The OptiFit hosel lets you change loft and lie settings, so you can fine-tune launch and shot shape.

Is the 12° loft right for me?

It suits moderate swing speeds that need help getting the ball airborne. Faster swingers may prefer a lower loft to keep spin down.

Prices on the Elyte line have fallen as newer models arrive. The $279.97 eBay listing as of November 5, 2026 is the lowest new price found, so watch for further markdowns as stock clears.

Our take on the Callaway Elyte X Driver

The Elyte X is Callaway's most forgiving driver, built for golfers who want a high launch and a slight draw bias rather than shot-shaping control. It pairs a Thermoforged Carbon crown with a 12° head, an adjustable OptiFit hosel and a 45.75-inch Project X Denali Charcoal graphite shaft. At $279.97 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits well below the $400-plus the Elyte line typically sold for at launch, so this is a strong price for a current-generation head.

Best forMid- to high-handicap golfers who slice or fade the ballPlayers who want maximum forgiveness on off-center hitsGolfers seeking a high launch with a draw biasShoppers who want a current Callaway head at a discount

Pros

Maximum-forgiveness head with a draw bias that helps square the face
Thermoforged Carbon crown keeps weight low for a high launch
Adjustable OptiFit hosel lets you tune loft and lie
Stock Project X Denali Charcoal shaft suits moderate swing speeds
Comes with headcover and grip included

Cons

Draw bias works against golfers who already hook the ball
Limited workability compared with the lower-spin Elyte Triple Diamond
Only one store lists a new price, so stock may be thin
12° loft may launch too high for fast swing speeds
