Is the Max D worth it at $290?

At $290 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a low price for a 2024 premium driver. If you slice and want more launch without paying current-model money, it is a strong buy.

How does the Max D differ from the standard Paradym Ai Smoke Max?

The Max D adds a draw bias through its weighting and stretched shape. The standard Max is neutral and suits players who already square the face.

Will the draw bias make me hook the ball?

It can if you already play a draw or release hard through impact. Players with a neutral or fading ball flight get the most from it.

What shaft and loft come with it?

This listing is left-handed, 9°, stiff flex, with a Mitsubishi Tensei AV Blue 55 graphite shaft. Lofts of 10.5° and 12° are also offered in the line.

What swing speed is it built for?

Callaway targets moderate to average swing speeds. Slower swingers get more launch from the 10.5° or 12° heads.

Prices on the 2024 model have fallen as newer drivers arrive. Watch for markdowns after new Callaway releases and around major sale events.

Our take on the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max D

The Paradym Ai Smoke Max D is Callaway's draw-biased driver, built to fight a slice and add launch for moderate-swing-speed players. Its Ai Smart Face is designed from real golfer swing data to hold ball speed on off-center hits, and the 360° Carbon Chassis with a titanium support is 15% lighter than the prior version, moving mass low and back for forgiveness. The stretched 460cc head and 7g back weight push a high, mid-low-spin flight with a left bias. At $290 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits well below the launch price of this 2024 model, and only three stores list it new.
