Our take on the Callaway Mavrik 22 Hybrid

The Callaway Mavrik 22 is a men's hybrid that blends fairway-wood distance with iron-like control, aimed at golfers replacing long irons. This listing is left-handed with a regular-flex shaft. New stock is thin: only two stores list it new, and the best price is $89.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026. That is well below what this hybrid typically sold for when it was current, so it is a value pick for lefties who want a proven head shape.

Pros
  • Forgiving face keeps off-center hits straighter
  • Low, forward center of gravity helps get the ball airborne
  • Versatile from fairway, rough and off the tee
  • Regular flex suits a wide range of swing speeds
  • At $89.99 new, cheaper than most current hybrids
Cons
  • Left-handed and regular flex only in this listing
  • Limited new stock; only two stores carry it new
  • Older model, so custom shaft and loft options are scarce
  • Not the draw-bias or adjustable head some players want

Questions and answers

Is the Callaway Mavrik 22 hybrid worth it at $89.99?
Yes, if you are left-handed and want a forgiving hybrid without paying current-model prices. At $89.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it costs far less than most new hybrids. Check the loft fits the iron you are replacing.
How does it compare with the original Mavrik hybrid?
The Mavrik 22 is a later refresh of the same line, with a similar forgiving shape and low center of gravity. Differences are subtle; buy whichever fits your loft and budget. The 22 is the easier one to find new at a low price now.
What shaft flex and handedness does this listing have?
This listing is left-handed with a regular-flex shaft. That suits moderate swing speeds around 85 to 95 mph with a hybrid. Faster swingers should look for a stiff option elsewhere.
What lofts is the Mavrik 22 hybrid available in?
The line was sold in lofts from roughly 18 to 27 degrees, covering 2 through 5 hybrid slots. Availability now is limited, so confirm the exact loft on the listing before buying. A 22-degree head is the common 4-iron replacement.
When is the best time to buy it?
Older hybrids like this one drop in price when new models launch and during end-of-season clearance. With only two stores listing it new, stock may not last. Watch for price changes rather than waiting for a big markdown.
Where is the Callaway Mavrik 22 Hybrid cheapest?
At Walmart, for $89.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Callaway Mavrik 22 Hybrid?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 280 ratings.
Where can I buy the Callaway Mavrik 22 Hybrid?
5 stores we checked sell it, including Walmart, eBay, PGA TOUR Superstore, Carls Golfland, Maple Hill Golf.
