Is the Callaway Supersoft worth it?

Yes, for beginners, seniors and anyone with a swing speed under roughly 90 mph. At $26.97 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it is one of the better value soft balls. Fast swingers should look at a firmer, higher-spin ball.

How does it compare to the Supersoft Max?

The Max is about 3% bigger in diameter, which raises the sweet spot and helps with off-center hits. The standard Supersoft flies a bit lower and feels slightly firmer. Pick the Max if you miss the center often.

What swing speed suits the Supersoft?

It is designed for moderate to slow swing speeds, roughly under 90 mph with the driver. The low-compression core needs that speed to compress fully and deliver its distance.

Does it spin around the greens?

Not much. It is a low-spin two-piece ball, so wedge shots release rather than check. Plan for more roll-out on chips and pitches.

A 12-ball pack. Balls are standard size and weight; the listing does not include tees or other extras.

Multi-dozen packs and spring pre-season sales tend to be the best value. The current $26.97 at Amazon is already near the low end of its recent range.

Our take on the Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls

The Callaway Supersoft is a two-piece ball with a low-compression HyperElastic SoftFast core and a hybrid cover. It is built for slower swing speeds: the soft core compresses easily for high launch and low spin, which helps carry distance and keeps shots straighter. It is one of the most popular value balls for beginners and seniors. The best new price is $26.97 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, with 6 stores selling it new; that sits at the low end of its usual range, so it is a good time to stock up.
