The CCM Tacks AS 550 is an entry-level youth hockey skate built for developing players. It pairs an injected mesh-skin quarter package with plush ankle padding and a soft microfiber liner, so the boot offers moderate structural stiffness without the harsh break-in of stiffer models. A kid-sizing-zone footbed and added tongue foam round out the comfort-focused build. At $39.91 at playitagainsports.com as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with 5 stores listing it new.
