Our take on the Champs Legacy 3-Piece Hardside Luggage Set

The Champs Legacy 3-Piece Hardside Luggage Set is a matching black spinner set with hard shells, sold as three nested cases for checked and carry-on travel. Hard shells protect contents and wipe clean, and four spinner wheels let each case roll upright beside you. At $349.95 at Belk as of November 3, 2026, it is the lowest new price across the five stores that carry it, so the set is near the bottom of its recent range rather than at a premium.

Best forFamilies buying one matching set for several travelersFrequent flyers who want wipe-clean hard shellsTravelers who prefer four-wheel spinner mobilityBuyers replacing mismatched soft bags in one purchase
Pros
  • Three sizes cover carry-on through checked baggage
  • Hard shells resist crushing and clean up easily
  • Spinner wheels roll upright and take weight off the wrist
  • Solid black hides scuffs and matches any trip
  • One purchase replaces a whole mismatched luggage closet
Cons
  • Hard shells have little give, so overpacking is harder
  • No exterior pockets for quick-access items
  • Black solid finish is plain and easy to confuse on a carousel
  • Nested set means only one case is usable as carry-on at a time
  • Shells can scratch and show scuffs over years of handling

Questions and answers

Is the Champs Legacy set worth $349.95?
At $349.95 at Belk as of November 3, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the five stores listing it. That works out to roughly $117 per case, which is reasonable for hard-shell spinners from a value brand.
How does it compare with softside luggage?
Hard shells protect fragile items and wipe clean, but they flex less and have no outside pockets. Softside bags squeeze into tight overhead bins and carry last-minute extras more easily.
Are the cases carry-on size?
A three-piece set typically includes one carry-on and two checked sizes, but exact dimensions are not listed here. Check each case's measurements against your airline's carry-on limits before flying.
Do the wheels and handles hold up?
Spinner wheels and telescoping handles are the usual wear points on any hardside set. There is no reliable owner feedback on this model's durability, so inspect wheels and zippers on arrival.
What comes in the box?
You get the three nested hardside cases in black. Accessories such as packing cubes or TSA locks are not confirmed, so plan to buy locks separately if you check bags.
When is it cheapest?
Luggage discounts cluster around Black Friday, holiday sales and late-summer clearance. The current $349.95 at Belk is already the lowest of the five stores, so waiting mainly helps if a seasonal sale undercuts it.
Where is the Champs Legacy 3-Piece Hardside Luggage Set cheapest?
At Belk, for $349.95, 27% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Champs Legacy 3-Piece Hardside Luggage Set?
8 stores we checked sell it, including Belk, Macy's, ShopSimon, Kohl's, JCPenney.
