Does the Colin Bed need a box spring?

No. The bed ships with slats, so a mattress can sit directly on the frame. A box spring would only add height.

What sizes does the Colin Bed come in?

It is offered in twin, queen and king. The queen measures 70"W x 86"D x 40"H and the king 86"W x 85.5"D x 40"H.

Is assembly difficult?

Assembly is required, and standard delivery does not include installation or packaging removal. Plan for two people given the 144.4 lb weight and the frame pieces.

What is the frame and upholstery made of?

The frame is solid pine, plywood and MDF, padded with foam and covered in 100% polyester fabric. The headboard is upholstered in the same material.

Is $999 a good price for the Colin Bed?

It is the best new price across the three stores listing it as of November 4, 2026. There is no long price history to compare against, so check the other two stores before buying.

What warranty comes with it?

Our take on the Colin Bed

The Colin Bed is an upholstered platform bed from Moe's Home Collection with a solid pine and plywood frame, foam padding and 100% polyester fabric in oatmeal. It has an upholstered headboard and included slats, so no box spring is needed. The best new price is $999 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, with three stores selling it new. Assembly is required and the one-year warranty is short for furniture at this price.
