Is the Gaomon Queen Upholstered Bed Frame worth it?

At $164.37 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get an upholstered queen platform bed with slats included. If you want drawers, a metal frame or a tall headboard, look elsewhere.

Do I need a box spring with this bed?

No. It ships with heavy-duty wooden slats and is a platform frame, so a mattress sits directly on the slats.

What mattress size fits it?

It is a Queen frame, so use a standard Queen mattress, about 60 by 80 inches. The no-gap headboard is designed to sit flush against the mattress.

How hard is assembly?

It comes as a frame-only flat pack with reinforced hardware, so expect to bolt the side rails, slats and headboard together. Two people make it easier.

How do I clean the boucle fabric?

Vacuum it with a soft brush attachment and blot spills right away with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the fabric or scrubbing hard.

When is the price lowest?

The best new price seen is $164.37 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026. With only two stores listing it, watch for Macy's sitewide furniture sales and holiday events.
