Curtarra Sandra Custom Cotton Linen Sheer Roman Shade

Our take on the Curtarra Sandra Custom Cotton Linen Sheer Roman Shade

The Curtarra Sandra is a custom-made sheer Roman shade in a cotton-linen-polyester blend, sold in a green colorway. It folds in the classic Roman style and filters light rather than blocking it, so it suits rooms where you want soft daylight and some privacy from outside. It is made to order, so the price reflects a custom cut rather than a stock size. At $89.60 at Curtarra as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Questions and answers

Is a sheer Roman shade enough privacy for a bedroom?

No. Sheer fabric filters light and softens the view but people can often see in at night when interior lights are on. Use it in living rooms or layered with a heavier curtain where privacy matters.

How is a custom shade measured and ordered?

Custom shades are cut to the window width and length you supply, so measure the inside of the frame or the outside mount area carefully. Order the exact dimensions, since custom fabric shades are usually not returnable.

Does it block heat or UV?

Only partly. A sheer cotton-linen blend cuts glare and some UV but is not a blackout or thermal shade. For sun-facing windows, expect noticeable heat gain compared with a lined shade.

How do I clean a cotton-linen Roman shade?

Dust or vacuum it with a brush attachment regularly. Spot-clean gently with mild soap and water, and avoid soaking the fabric, since the blend can shrink or water-stain.

Is $89.60 a good price for this shade?

It is the only new price listed, at Curtarra as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with quotes for other custom sheer Roman shades in the same size before deciding.
