Is the FlexVolt 9.0 Ah battery worth it over a smaller pack?

For framing and long rips, yes. The 9.0 Ah pack gives noticeably more cuts per charge, but it adds weight and cost. For light trim work a smaller 20V pack is lighter and cheaper.

Does this battery work in regular DeWalt 20V tools?

Yes. FlexVolt batteries run at 20V in standard 20V Max tools and switch to 60V Max in FlexVolt tools. Check that your charger supports FlexVolt.

Can this saw cut 2x lumber in one pass?

A 7-1/4 inch circular saw cuts through 2x material at 90 degrees in one pass. Depth of cut at 45 degrees is less, so check the bevel capacity of the specific saw in the kit.

What comes in the box?

The bundle includes the circular saw and the FlexVolt 9.0 Ah battery. Confirm whether a charger, blade and bag are included for the exact kit before buying.

When is the best time to buy?

DeWalt kits usually drop during holiday sales and end-of-season events. Compare the kit price against buying the bare tool and battery separately.
