How deep will the DCS571P1 cut?

With a 4.5-inch blade the maximum depth is roughly 1-5/8 inches at 90 degrees, less at a bevel. That handles 1x and 2x material up to a 2x4 on edge only with flipping or multiple passes.

Is it worth it over a full-size 7-1/4-inch cordless saw?

It is worth it if you want a light, one-handed saw for trim, siding and quick cuts and already own 20V Max batteries. For cutting thick lumber or lots of sheet goods, a 7-1/4-inch saw is faster.

What comes in the box?

The kit includes the saw, one 20V Max 5.0Ah Li-Ion battery and a blade. No dust bag is included.

Does it use the same batteries as other DeWalt 20V tools?

Yes. It runs on DeWalt 20V Max Li-Ion packs, so it shares batteries with the rest of that line.

How much does it weigh?

6.19 lb with the battery installed, light enough to use overhead for short periods.

When is the price likely to be lowest?

Cordless tool kits usually drop during Black Friday and spring contractor promotions. With only one new listing at $329.99 as of November 7, 2026, compare against bare-tool prices if you already own batteries.
