Is the DJI M400 worth it?

For professional inspection, public safety or maritime work that needs thermal, zoom and a 45MP full-frame camera in one flight, yes. For hobby or light photography use, a smaller drone costs far less and is easier to carry.

How does it compare with the DJI M300 or M350?

The M400 adds a 6 kg payload rating, 59-minute flight time and moving-ship landing over earlier Matrice heavy-lift models. If you already own an M300 or M350 with the payloads you need, the upgrade mainly buys endurance and payload headroom.

What is the real battery life?

DJI rates 59 minutes, which assumes a light payload and calm conditions. Expect less with the H30T and in wind; plan missions around roughly 40 to 45 minutes of usable flight.

How big and heavy is it to transport?

It folds to 490×490×480 mm and weighs about 9.7 kg with batteries, up to 15.8 kg at max takeoff. It fits in a large case but needs a vehicle and usually two people to move and launch.

What comes in the box?

The kit includes the M400 aircraft, the H30T gimbal payload, a remote controller with touch screen, batteries and a charger. Confirm the exact bundle with the seller, since payload and battery counts vary by configuration.

Watch for price drops around DJI's seasonal sales and when a newer model is announced. Compare the current best price against its recent range before buying, since enterprise bundles move less often than consumer drones.
