Questions and answers

Is the DEP-20 worth it for a beginner?
Yes, if weighted keys matter more to you than sound quality. It is one of the cheapest 88-key hammer-action pianos, and the action is the part beginners most need to get right.
How does it compare with the Yamaha P-45 or Roland FP-10?
Those cost more but have more realistic piano tones and better key consistency. The DEP-20 wins on price and built-in extras like rhythms, tones and an LCD.
Does it have Bluetooth or a MIDI port?
No Bluetooth. It connects to computers and apps over USB-MIDI, and there are no 5-pin MIDI DIN ports.
What comes in the box?
The piano, power adapter, sustain pedal, sheet music stand and instruction manual. A bench and stand are not included.
How big and heavy is it?
It measures 144 x 35 x 24 cm and weighs 15.4 kg. Plan for two people to move it and check that your stand fits around the rubber feet.
When is it cheapest?
It has been near $310 in recent months. Watch for bundle sales that add a stand or bench rather than expecting deep cuts on the piano alone.
Where is the Donner DEP-20 Beginner Digital Piano 88 Key Full Size Weighted Keyboard cheapest?
At Walmart, for $309.99, as of our latest check.
