Our take on the Ebern Designs Boucle Upholstered Bed Frame with Rounded Headboard

A queen-size platform bed with a rounded, boucle-upholstered headboard and a modern silhouette. It skips the box spring, so the mattress sits directly on the frame. At $199.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price we track, so there is no recent range to compare against. The manufactured wood frame and no-slat design are the main things to weigh before buying.

Best forShoppers furnishing a modern bedroom on a budgetBuyers who want a soft, rounded headboard lookPeople who prefer no box springGuest rooms and first apartments

Cons
  • No slats included, so a mattress base or foundation is needed

Questions and answers

Does this bed need a box spring?
No box spring is required, but no slats are included either. You need a mattress foundation or platform base to support the mattress inside the frame.
Is it worth $199.99?
That is a low price for a queen upholstered platform bed. If you like the boucle look and can supply a base, it is good value. Check the frame feel if you want long-term durability.
What size mattress fits?
The frame is 60'' wide and 80'' long, which is queen size. Use a queen mattress.
How hard is assembly?
Assembly is required and owners often mention it takes time. Two people make it easier, especially for attaching the headboard.
Is the boucle fabric easy to clean?
Boucle is a looped, textured fabric that traps dust and spills more than smooth upholstery. Spot clean quickly and use a vacuum brush on it.
When is it cheapest?
Wayfair lists it at $199.99 as of November 4, 2026, and it is the only new price we track. Watch for Wayfair sitewide sales, which are the usual time for bed discounts.
Where is the Ebern Designs Boucle Upholstered Bed Frame with Rounded Headboard cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $199.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Ebern Designs Boucle Upholstered Bed Frame with Rounded Headboard?
