Our take on the Ebern Designs Keyten Upholstered Daybed with Storage Drawers

The Ebern Designs Keyten is an upholstered daybed with two built-in storage drawers, sized at 79.5" long, 43.5" wide and 34.5" tall. It uses a steel and wood frame with an upholstered headboard, so it works as a sofa by day and a full-length sleeping spot by night. It has no guardrails, trundle or adjustability, which keeps it aimed at adults and guest rooms rather than kids' beds. No current price was provided, so check the latest best price against its recent range before buying.

Best forGuest rooms that need extra storageSmall apartments where a bed doubles as seatingAdults who want a sofa-style bed without a trundleSpare rooms used for both lounging and sleeping
Pros
  • Two drawers add storage without a separate dresser
  • Upholstered headboard gives a softer, sofa-like look
  • Steel and wood frame is sturdier than all-wood budget daybeds
  • Long 79.5" deck fits standard twin mattresses
  • Works as seating and a bed in one footprint
Cons
  • No guardrails, so it is not suited to young children
  • No trundle, so it sleeps one person, not two
  • Not foldable or adjustable
  • Drawer clearance depends on floor space around the frame
  • Assembly and moving a steel frame this size takes two people

Questions and answers

Is the Keyten daybed worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you need a guest bed that doubles as seating and adds drawer storage. Skip it if you need a trundle or a bed for a small child.
Does it fit a standard twin mattress?
The deck is 79.5" by 43.5", which matches a standard twin mattress. Use a twin mattress, not a full or queen.
Is it safe for kids?
It has no guardrails and is listed for adults, so it is not a toddler bed. Older children can use it, but younger ones should have a bed with rails.
How much assembly is required?
Expect to assemble the steel and wood frame, headboard and drawers. Two people make it much easier given the size and weight.
Does it have a trundle or extra sleeping space?
No. There is no trundle and no fold-out section, so it sleeps one person.
When is the best time to buy it?
Watch the price history around major sales events and compare across stores. The drawers and upholstered headboard are the features to check are included at the lowest price.
What do buyers say about the Ebern Designs Keyten Upholstered Daybed with Storage Drawers?
