Pros

Pop-up trundle raises to the same height as the daybed, so it reads as two beds rather than one low pull-out

Frame-only sale lets you choose mattress firmness and budget
Daybed back works as a sofa for daytime seating
Strong owner rating: 4.6 out of 5 from 686 ratings

Cons

Pop-up mechanism adds weight and needs clearance to raise and lower
Wood frame is heavy to move once assembled
Trundle mattress must be thin enough to stow under the frame

Questions and answers

Is the pop-up trundle worth it over a standard trundle?: Yes, if you want two beds at the same height. A pop-up trundle rises level with the daybed, which suits adults and older kids better than a low pull-out near the floor.
Are mattresses included?: No. It is frame only, so you need a daybed mattress and a separate trundle mattress. Check the trundle clearance before buying the second one.
What size mattresses fit?: The daybed takes a standard twin daybed mattress. The trundle needs a thinner twin mattress that fits under the frame when closed; confirm the height limit before ordering.
Do I need a box spring?: No. The frame comes with slats, so mattresses sit directly on the slats.
How hard is assembly?: Owners describe it as a multi-step build best done by two people. Set aside an afternoon and sort the hardware before starting.
When is it cheapest?: Daybed frames tend to drop during seasonal furniture sales and long holiday weekends. Compare store prices and check the price history before buying.
What do buyers say about the Lark Manor Daybed with Pop Up Trundle?: Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 686 ratings.
