Is Fido's Flora worth it over a cheaper probiotic?

It costs more than mass-market dog probiotics, but it uses canine-origin strains plus a prebiotic and humic and fulvic acids in one powder. If your dog has had repeated digestive or skin issues, the combination is the reason many owners pick it.

How does it compare with Adored Beast Love Bugs?

Love Bugs is the broader 14-strain blend; Fido's Flora adds the two canine-specific strains plus fulvic and humic acids. Choose Fido's Flora for targeted gut and immune support, Love Bugs for general daily maintenance.

How much do I give and how long does a jar last?

Dosage is by weight, with 3/4 tsp for dogs 60 to 89 lbs, once daily mixed into food. A 40 g jar lasts roughly a month for a mid-size dog at that rate.

Can I give it while my dog is on antibiotics?

The maker says the canine strains are not affected by common antibiotics prescribed for intestinal upset. Still, space doses a couple of hours apart from the antibiotic and check with your vet.

Does it need refrigeration?

Yes, refrigerate after opening to keep the live cultures viable. The unopened jar has a shelf life of at least 12 months.

When is the price lowest?

The best new price seen is $41.00 at littlechief.dog as of November 3, 2026, across three stores. Subscribe-and-save or multi-jar bundles are the usual ways to pay less per gram.

About the Fido's Flora Canine Species Specific Probiotic

Fido’s Flora is the first and only biologically species appropriate probiotics for your dog.

The researchers and scientists I worked with identified and cultivated two uniquely canine species of probiotics/ beneficial gut bacteria. These bacterias were specifically chosen to:

• Strengthen your dog’s immune system

• Help keep your dog’s gastrointestinal tract calm during times of stress

• Produce metabolites that fight against bacteria like E. coli and salmonella

• Improve the availability of nutrients to the diet

• Improve production of neurotransmitters in the brain

• Pass through the stomach acid to work in the small intestine

• Not be affected by antibiotics commonly prescribed to treat intestinal upset

These isolates were combined with our 14 strain probiotic blend and Larch prebiotic used in popular products like Love Bugs and Gut Soothe .

In my goal to always take a proactive view of your dog’s health when creating my products, I also took a look at the world-wide problem of nutritional mineral soil depletion and added the king of soil-based organic minerals, Fulvic and Humic Acid. This powerful combination adds vital minerals, helps feed the cells of the body and aids in the removal of toxic minerals and heavy metals.
