Questions and answers

Is this freezer good for a garage?
Yes. Frigidaire rates it garage ready, so it is built to keep a uniform temperature in an outbuilding. Owners report it working in unheated garages.
Do I have to defrost it by hand?
No. It has automatic defrost, so frost buildup is handled for you. That is a main reason buyers pick it over a manual chest freezer.
How much does it cost to run?
It uses 461 kWh a year. At a typical US rate of about 17 cents per kWh that is roughly $78 a year, more than many smaller freezers.
Will it fit through a standard door?
It is 27 3/4 inches wide and 67 3/4 inches tall, so it fits through most interior doorways. Measure your path and the 26 5/8-inch cabinet depth before delivery.
