Is this mattress good for everyday sleeping?

Buyers rate it poorly for nightly sleep, mostly citing firmness and flattening. It suits occasional or guest use better than a main bed.

What size sheets fit it?

It is a standard Queen at 80 by 60 inches, so queen sheets fit. Deep-pocket sheets work better over the 6-inch thickness.

Can I fold it for storage?

Japanese-style futons like this are designed to fold or roll for storage. Air it out and rotate it regularly to limit moisture and flattening.

How does it compare with a traditional futon?

It is thinner and cheaper than a frame-based futon and sits directly on the floor. Expect a firmer feel and less support than a sprung mattress.

When is the best time to buy?

At $146.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price tracked, so there is no sale pattern to time. Watch for seasonal bedding sales.

Our take on the Goodone 6 inch Thick Futon Mattress Japanese Floor Mattress, Navy, Queen

The Goodone is a 6-inch-thick Japanese-style floor futon in Queen size, 80 by 60 inches, meant to be laid directly on the floor or over a tatami mat. It is a low-cost way to add a guest sleeping surface or a floor lounge spot without a frame. At $146.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price tracked, so there is no recent range to compare it against. Its 2.1-out-of-5 rating from 51 buyers is the main warning sign.
