Is the 4.0Ah battery worth it over the 2.0Ah?

Yes if you run a trimmer, blower or chainsaw for more than a few minutes at a time. The 4.0Ah roughly doubles runtime over the 2.0Ah pack for about the same weight class.

Will it fit my Greenworks 40V mower?

It fits any Greenworks 40V G-MAX tool, including the 40V mowers. Bigger mowers will drain it faster, so a 5.0Ah or 6.0Ah pack suits large lawns better.

Does it come with a charger?

No. The box has the battery and a user manual only. You need a Greenworks 40V charger, sold separately.

How long does it take to charge?

About 120 minutes on a standard Greenworks 40V charger. Diagnostic LEDs on the pack show when charging is complete.

Battery prices dip during spring lawn-care sales and Black Friday. The $75.99 eBay listing as of November 4, 2026 is the lowest of six new listings.
