Is the 4 Ah battery worth it over the 2 Ah?

Yes if you run a mower or blower. The 4 Ah pack roughly doubles runtime versus the 2 Ah, and it still fits handheld tools without much extra weight.

Does this battery come with a charger?

No. It is the battery only. You need the Greenworks 40V charger, model 29482, or another compatible 40V charger.

Will it fit my Greenworks 40V tool?

It fits any Greenworks 40V G-MAX tool. It does not fit Greenworks 24V, 60V or 80V tools.

How long does it take to charge?

About 120 minutes on the standard 40V charger. A faster charger, if you have one, will cut that time.

Is $43.99 a good price?

It is a low price for a 4 Ah G-MAX pack, which often sells for more. At eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new listing, so compare against any bundle deals before buying.
