- Is the Gupup strip really safe outdoors?
- It carries an IP67 rating, which means it is protected against dust and against temporary immersion. Mount it with the connectors and plug kept dry and off the ground.
- Can I cut it to fit my patio?
- Yes, it is cuttable, but only at the marked cut points printed on the strip. Cutting elsewhere leaves the rest of the run dead.
- How do I control it?
- Through the Gupup app on your phone, which handles colors, dimming and on/off. There is no separate remote listed.
- Does it need a hub or special wiring?
- No hub is listed. It plugs into a standard outlet, and the app connects directly to the strip.
- Is $72.99 a good price for 100 ft?
- It is the best new price among the two stores that list it as of November 7, 2026, so there is no cheaper new listing to wait for. The per-foot cost is low for an IP67 smart strip.
- What comes in the box?
- Expect the 100 ft strip, its plug-in controller and power supply. Check the listing for mounting clips and connectors before you plan the install.
