Our take on the Haitral Satin Black Solar Powered LED Deck Light Kit, Set of 8

The Haitral Satin Black Solar LED Deck Light Kit is a set of eight integrated-LED deck lights that run on solar power and switch on automatically at dusk. Each light is rated IP67 waterproof and puts out 3000K warm white light, so it suits decks, steps and low landscape borders without wiring. The plastic housings are small at 4.8 by 3.6 by 1.65 inches, and the satin black finish keeps them low-key on dark decking. It holds 4.8 out of 5 from 17 ratings.

Best forDeck and stair edges where running cable is hardRenters and DIY installers who want no wiringWarm-white accent lighting on a budgetHomeowners in sunny climates with exposed deck rails or posts
Pros
  • No wiring: solar panel and battery in each unit
  • IP67 rating handles rain and hose spray
  • 3000K warm white is easier on the eye than cool white
  • Auto on at dusk, auto off at dawn
  • Set of eight covers a typical deck perimeter
  • Integrated LEDs mean no bulb replacements
Cons
  • Plastic housings, not metal
  • Output depends on daily sun; shaded decks will dim
  • Integrated LEDs and batteries are not user-replaceable in a simple way
  • Small footprint gives accent light, not area lighting
  • No stated lumen or runtime figures

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it compared with wired deck lights?
If running cable to your deck is expensive or impossible, yes. You trade brightness and consistency for zero wiring and no electricity cost. Expect accent lighting, not bright task light.
How long do the lights stay on at night?
Haitral does not publish a runtime figure. In practice, solar deck lights of this size typically run four to eight hours after a full sunny day, and less after overcast days.
Do they really turn on automatically?
Yes. A dusk-to-dawn sensor switches them on at dark and off at daylight, so there is no switch or timer to set.
Can they handle rain and sprinklers?
The IP67 rating means they are sealed against dust and protected against water immersion for short periods, so rain and sprinkler spray are fine. Do not leave them sitting in standing water.
What comes in the box?
Eight deck lights with integrated LEDs and built-in solar panels, plus mounting hardware. Batteries are pre-installed in each unit.
When is the price lowest?
Solar garden and deck lighting tends to discount in late winter and early spring ahead of the outdoor season, and again after Labor Day. Check the price history before buying in mid-summer.
