Is this set worth it at $125?

At $125 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is near the low end of its recent range across 8 stores. For a complete 18-piece block, that is strong value if you want one set rather than premium forged knives.

Are these forged or stamped knives?

They are stamped from high-quality stainless steel with a lightweight full tang. That keeps them light and affordable, but they will not hold an edge as long as forged knives.

Can the knives go in the dishwasher?

Yes, Henckels lists the set as dishwasher safe. Hand washing still keeps edges sharper longer, especially on the chef's knife and santoku.

What is included in the 18 pieces?

The set includes a chef's knife, a hollow-edge santoku, additional prep knives, 8 steak knives, kitchen shears, a sharpening steel and the wooden block.

How big is the block?

The block measures 10 x 6 x 15.5 inches and the full set weighs 11.94 lb. Check your counter depth before buying.

When is the best time to buy?

Knife block sets usually drop around Black Friday and holiday sales. At $125 the current price is already close to its recent low, so waiting may not save much.
