Our take on the Hoist V1 Elite Home Gym

The Hoist V1 Elite is a freestanding multi-station home gym with a 200 lb weight stack and a 544 lb total weight capacity. Its telescoping, tilting backrest and adjustable press arms let one frame cover chest, back, shoulder, leg extension and leg curl work. It stands 83.5 in tall and needs a footprint of about 80.5 by 48.25 in, so it suits a dedicated room rather than a corner. The best new price is $3,389 at Gym Store Fitness Supply as of November 5, 2026, with three stores listing it new.

Pros
  • 200 lb weight stack covers most accessory and isolation work without loading plates
  • Telescoping and tilting backrest adjusts to different users and exercises
  • Press arms and leg station combine chest, back, shoulder and leg work in one footprint
  • Integrated accessory rack keeps handles and attachments on the machine
  • Pressed-in industrial plastic bushings are designed for smooth, low-wear travel
  • 544 lb total weight capacity gives headroom for heavier users
Cons
  • 200 lb maximum resistance is light for strong lifters on presses and rows
  • Large footprint of about 80.5 by 48.25 in plus 83.5 in height needs real ceiling clearance
  • Assembly required, and a machine this size is a multi-hour job
  • Leg press and HI/LO attachments are options, not included
  • Weight stack means no easy upgrade path beyond the 200 lb stack

Questions and answers

Is the Hoist V1 Elite worth $3,389?
At $3,389 at Gym Store Fitness Supply as of November 5, 2026, you pay for a commercial-style frame with a 200 lb stack and a highly adjustable backrest. It makes sense if several people will use it and you have the floor space. If you mostly lift heavy, a rack and free weights cost less.
How much space does it need?
The frame is 80.5 in long, 48.25 in wide and 83.5 in tall. Leave clearance around the press arms and leg station, and check ceiling height before delivery.
What comes in the box?
The base machine with the 200 lb weight stack, press arms, leg extension and leg curl station, and the integrated accessory rack. The Leg Press Option and HI/LO Option are sold separately.
Can I upgrade the resistance beyond 200 lb?
No. The V1 Elite uses a fixed 200 lb stack, so 200 lb is the ceiling for every station. Lifters who need more should look at plate-loaded machines.
How does it compare with a plate-loaded home gym?
A weight stack changes resistance faster and needs no plates, which suits circuit-style training and shared use. Plate-loaded rigs go heavier and cost less per pound of resistance but take longer to switch between exercises.
When is it cheapest?
Three stores list it new, and the best price was $3,389 at Gym Store Fitness Supply as of November 5, 2026. Compare all three before buying, and watch for freight promotions since shipping a machine this size adds cost.
Where is the Hoist V1 Elite Home Gym cheapest?
At Gym Store Fitness Supply, for $3,389.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Hoist V1 Elite Home Gym?
Rated 5 out of 5 from 11 ratings.
Where can I buy the Hoist V1 Elite Home Gym?
