Our take on the Homelegance Tobias Round Cocktail Table

The Homelegance Tobias is a 40-inch round wood cocktail table in an espresso finish, 20 inches tall, with an open bottom shelf and casters. The casters are the standout: you can roll it out of the way for a movie night or a game, then roll it back. The best new price is $329 at Ornate Home as of November 5, 2026, with four stores selling it new. It is a solid, heavy piece at about 69 lb, so plan for two people to move it and for assembly on arrival.

Questions and answers

Is $329 a good price for the Tobias cocktail table?
It is the best new price among the four stores selling it as of November 5, 2026, at Ornate Home. Compare against the other three stores before buying, since the spread between them is not given.
How big is it?
The top is 40 inches across and the table stands 20 inches high, a standard cocktail height for a sofa. Check that 40 inches leaves walking room around your seating.
Does it need assembly?
Yes. It ships unassembled, and at about 69 lb the box is heavy, so have a second person and a clear floor area ready.
Can I use it outdoors?
No. Homelegance lists it for indoor use only, and the wood finish would not hold up on a porch or patio.
What is the bottom shelf for?
It is an open shelf under the top, useful for magazines, baskets or a tray. It is open on all sides, so nothing is hidden.
Does it have casters?
Yes, it rolls on casters, which is how most owners move it despite the weight. Locking behavior is not specified.
