Do I need a box spring with this daybed?

No. The frame includes slats, so a twin mattress can rest directly on them. A box spring would add height and is not required.

What mattress size fits it?

It takes a standard twin mattress. Check the frame's inner dimensions before buying a thick or pillow-top mattress, since deep mattresses can sit high against the side rails.

Can two people sit on it?

It is a twin daybed, so it seats two adults side by side but is best for one sleeper. Weight limits vary by frame, so check the stated capacity.

Is it sturdy enough for everyday use?

Metal slat frames of this type handle daily use, but bolts can loosen over time. Re-tighten them after assembly and every few months to reduce squeaking.

Does it come with a mattress?

No. The listing is for the frame only, and the mattress is sold separately.

When is the price lowest?

Our take on the HOMERECOMMEND Metal Daybed Frame

The HOMERECOMMEND Metal Daybed Frame is a twin-size steel daybed with a built-in slat system, so a mattress sits on the frame without a box spring. It works as a sofa by day and a bed by night, which suits small rooms, guest rooms and kids' rooms. The open frame leaves space underneath for storage.
