Is the Birydiana daybed worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you need a compact sofa-bed for a guest room or studio and weigh under 250 lb. If you need daily adult sleeping or heavy use, a metal or solid wood frame holds up better.

Does it need a box spring?

No. The slats are included, so a twin mattress sits directly on the frame. A standard twin mattress about 8 to 10 inches thick fits best.

What mattress size fits?

A standard twin mattress. The frame is about 79.9 inches long and 40.4 inches wide, so a twin at 75 by 38 inches leaves a little room around the edges.

How much assembly is required?

Full assembly is required. Expect to attach the frame, slats and headboard, which typically takes an hour or two with two people.

What is the weight limit?

250 lb. That covers one adult of average build, but it is lower than many twin beds, so check before buying for heavier users.

Our take on the Wade Logan Birydiana Upholstered Daybed

The Wade Logan Birydiana is an upholstered daybed that doubles as a sofa and a twin-size sleeper, with a padded headboard and a slatted base so no box spring is needed. It measures about 79.9 inches long, 40.4 wide and 33.7 tall, and the frame is particle board rather than solid wood. The 250 lb weight capacity is on the low side for adult use.
