Questions and answers

Is this TV stand worth it?

At $269.99 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, you get an 80-inch-capacity stand and a 36-inch electric fireplace in one piece. That is reasonable for a combined unit, but compare against buying a plain stand and a separate fireplace insert if you want more brand choice.

Will it hold a 70-inch TV?

Yes. It is rated for screens up to 80 inches, so a 70-inch TV fits with margin. Check the top panel width against your TV's stand footprint before buying.

Does the fireplace actually heat the room?

It is a supplemental electric heater, good for taking the chill off a living room. It will not replace a central heating system, and the flame effect can run without heat on most units like this.

What is included in the box?

Expect the flat-pack panels, hardware, the 36-inch electric fireplace insert and assembly instructions. A remote for the fireplace is common on units like this, but confirm the accessory list with the seller.

When is the price lowest?

With only one store listing it new, discounts depend on Macy's own sales events, such as holiday and furniture promotions. Track the price history here rather than assuming a seasonal low.

Does it need to be plugged in?

Yes. The fireplace needs a nearby outlet, so plan the stand's position around a receptacle. The TV and media devices need power too, so a surge protector inside the cabinet helps.

Where is the homfan 70 Inch TV Stand with 36 Inch Electric Fireplace cheapest?

At Macy's, for $269.99, as of our latest check.
