The Hornady Two-Gun Keypad Vault is a compact 16-gauge steel lockbox for two handguns, with an electronic 4- to 6-digit keypad plus a barrel-key backup. It measures about 12.7 by 8.8 by 8.8 inches outside and weighs 12.3 pounds, so it can sit on a nightstand or be bolted down through pre-drilled holes. It is California DOJ approved and has an audible low-battery alert. At $136.30 at Tactical Surplus USA as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what the six new-price stores list.

With 4.5 out of 5 from 86 ratings, owners generally treat it as a solid quick-access box for a handgun or two. Complaints tend to center on interior space and the keypad rather than the steel.
